Javelin Throw Final:
- Neeraj Chopra secured his second successive Olympic
medal with a silver in the men’s javelin throw, becoming the first Indian
track-and-field athlete to achieve this feat. His best throw of 89.45 meters
came in the second round. Despite his strong performance, it was not enough
to surpass Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who set a new Olympic
record with an astonishing throw of 92.97 meters. This victory marked
Pakistan’s maiden individual gold at the Olympics and their first medal in
